Original Idea Which We've Decided Against

this was our orginal idea for the inside of the digipak, however we decided agaisnt it as we felt it didn't fit our genre properly, we decided it was to feminine and girly and we needed more attitude. I think it also looked abit tacky and amature looking. We therefore are going to use the photobooth like images idea for the cover behind the CD. We have said that we want the photos behind the Cd to be in strips all of slightly different colours so we end up with 4/5 strips of similar photos of leonie posing however and each strip is in a different effect or style.

Making The Inside Of The Album

After uplaoding the photos of Leonie onto photoshop in photobooth like strips we decided that we wanted to make them look more of a polaroid style by sticking them down and making them look messy, we therefore cut out the cross sections of sticky masking tape from the picture above and moved the image onto our strips of photos, in order for the masking tape to tie in with our genre we also deicded to add on a heart to the tape but a handrawn black one which also ties in woth the theme and content of our blog and artist.

Making The Lyric Page

our new idea for the lyric book is to instead do an a3 sheet with the lyrics on then on the reverse have a picture of leonie which could for example be used as a poster. to make this lyric page i had to copy and paste all the lyrics from the document leonie put onto scribed and insert them all onto seperate layers. this then allowed me to move them around easier and place them where i wanted. i had to think about which lyrics to put where as some are much longer than others meaning there was limited space. once i had inserted all the titles and lyrics i then had to decide on the background which i've gone for the plain fog picture i took just to show location. this may be changed later on but for now i'm happy with this.

Making The Poster Picture

i took the 3 different length pictures of leonie and put them all onto photoshop. i then edited the 3 different pictures opacity so that the furthest away was the most faded and the closest the most clear. i then layered them all on top of one another and seperated her on each one creating an effect of 3 leonies. as you can see on the print screen of photoshop you could see the divide between 2 of the pictures, so i print screened that image and cropped it down then reput it onto a fresh a4 sheet. we will also be using this image on the reverse of our lyric/poster insert. obviously this isnt yet finished as i havent put the writing about the album release on yet, but im currently struggling with where to place the writing and colours etc.

album back

This is a first attempt at playing around with ideas for the back ground after collecting the right photos. I spent hours messing around with different photos and different background ideas but eventually we always decided on this picture of me with my hood up leaning forward on the bench. This is our final product.

Actually the writing is in a slightly different position on the final photoshop document but it's basically the same. I messed around with the scale of the picture for ages, after thinking we should have used the natural framing of the arch but thought it made the character to central when we need it to be to the right in order for the words to fit. So i ended up cropping it right down so that only me and the bench was seen. I also changed the colours around to highten saturation and dull the lighting slightly in order to give it this edgy look.

Other Pictures - Lyric Book Maybe?

more extra pictures we took for things like the lyric book or just incase we need some more pictures if our other ones dont work.

Pictures for the Poster

heres some more pictures we took yesterday. these are for the poster advertising our digipak. as you can see we have used the inspiration found for our mock up to recreate our own version of the pictures.

Examples of our pictures for the front/back

heres some of the examples of pictures we took yesterday (Monday). we took loads more than these but obviously didnt want to put them all onto the blog. i really love the outdoor shots and especially the ones with the hood up. im glad they came out so good because me and leonie were absolutely freeeeeeeezing in -6 degrees taking the outdoor pictures so thankful it paid off!

Pictures for our Ancillary Products

this is the park were going to use to take the pictures of leonie on the swings. (wimpy park in enderby).
this is the foggy field of wimpy park and in the distance you can see the gate/fence thing were going to use with leonie modelling infront.

this is the outfit me and leonie chose for leonie to wear for the majority of the ancillary products. we love the big furry coat and thinks the beatles top matches our genre. we also have a long green coat that she will be using in some of the outdoor shots.

Distributing the Ancillary Products

As we are doing our ancillary products as a group rather than one each we have distributed the jobs so that -
Leonie does the: Front cover and back cover
Louise does the: Lyric A3, the Poster on the reverse and the advertising poster
Katie does the: Inside left page of the digipack and the picture behind the CD.

Ideas For Front Of Lyric Booklet

Currently our ideas are:
- Leonie looking down with a close up photo of her just either closing her eyes or just looking down
- Leonie from a long shit angle with a broad landscape to make her look small and alone
-Artwork of some sort to represent the genre of our artist
-Keep it simplistic with just a plain background with "Lyrics" written on the front in fancy font
-Newspaper style front with looads of Lyrics written all over the booklet in small fonts
-Newspaper clippings spelling out Lyrics with a simple plain coloured background
